Psalms 18:41  They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
42  Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43  Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44  As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45  The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
46  The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47  It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48  He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49  Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50  Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Matthew 8:1  ¶When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2  And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3  And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4  And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
5  ¶And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10  When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11  And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12  But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Galatians 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18  For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
19  For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Proverbs 14:1  ¶Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
2  ¶He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
3  ¶In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4  ¶Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5  ¶A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
6  ¶A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
7  ¶Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
8  ¶The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
9  ¶Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

Galatians 3:2  This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3  Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4  Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
5  He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6  ¶Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7  Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8  And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9  So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10  For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11  But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Psalms 19:1  ¶<<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7  ¶The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Matthew 8:14  ¶And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
15  And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
16  When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
17  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
18  ¶Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
19  And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
20  And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
21  And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
22  But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
23  ¶And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
24  And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25  And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26  And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Galatians 3:12  And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15  Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16  Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17  And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18  For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
19  ¶Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Proverbs 14:10  ¶The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
11  ¶The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
12  ¶There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
13  ¶Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
14  ¶The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
15  ¶The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
16  ¶A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
17  ¶He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
18  ¶The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19  ¶The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20  ¶The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
21  ¶He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

Psalms 20:1  ¶<<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
2  Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3  Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4  Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5  We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
6  ¶Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7  Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
8  They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
9  Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.

Matthew 8:28  ¶And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29  And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30  And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
31  So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
32  And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
33  And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
34  And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

Galatians 3:20  Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
21  Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22  But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23  But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24  Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25  But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29  And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Proverbs 14:22  ¶Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
23  ¶In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
24  ¶The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
25  ¶A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
26  ¶In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27  The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
28  ¶In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
29  ¶He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30  ¶A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31  ¶He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
32  ¶The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
33  ¶Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
34  ¶Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
35  ¶The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.

Psalms 21:1  ¶<<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2  Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3  For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4  He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5  His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
6  For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
7  ¶For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8  Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9  Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10  Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11  For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12  Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13  Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

Matthew 9:1  ¶And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2  And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3  And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4  And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5  For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7  And he arose, and departed to his house.
8  But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
