Posts: 1562 Too many false stories . Some good stuff on NZTV .

From NZ's flag .
Posts: 1541 NZ TV is at it again ; producing a very suspect story about Palestinian children being hurt by the Israelis but failing to mention the killing of a 13yrold Israeli boy at the Syrian border and the 3 teenagers kidnapped by Hamas .

BREAKING: Assad Was Responsible for Missile Fire on Israel · . Bob WTF?

A 13-year-old Israeli boy, Mohammad Karkara, was killed in the Golan Heights in what the IDF said was a missile attack from Syria, just south of the Quneitra crossing. The explosion hit a car belonging to his father, a Defense Ministry employee contracted to reinforce the border fence in the area. Mohammad joined his father on his first day of vacation from school. Two others were hurt, in addition to his father who sustained serious injuries. The IDF responded with tank fire at Syrian military posts in the area of Quneitra. The IDF is currently investigating who is responsible for the attack and weighing the proper response. It is not clear whether the attack was directed at Israeli citizens or Syrian rebels on the border. It is feared that there will be additional such incidents in the near future.

A terrorist armed with a grenade was arrested after crossing into Israel from the Gaza strip. He was captured by a local guard in the area between the communities of Yated and Sdei Abraham. An IDF force that was dispatched to the area arrested him and took him in for questioning.

The IDF continues its efforts to locate the three youths who were kidnapped. Over a thousand soldiers combed areas of Hebron in the north and west. They continue to search in agricultural areas, caves, olive orchards and wells. The soldiers see this as their national duty. They are literally turning over every stone in order to find information regarding the kidnapped youths. Arsenals of weapons were uncovered during the search. A Palestinian man was killed when he did not heed warnings of Israeli soldiers to stop. The man killed is apparently mentally unstable and the IDF is investigating the incident. An unmanned drone which landed in Hebron was returned to the IDF by the Palestinian Authority.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu related to Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas' condemnation of the kidnapping of three Israeli youths. He called the statement positive but said that he will be judged on his actions. Netanyahu reiterated that Israel holds conclusive evidence that Hamas is responsible for the kidnapping of the 3 youths.

Posts: 1541 TV3 tonight did a story on the young Palestinian murdered in Israel giving passing mention to the 3 Israeli teenagers kidnapped and murdered recently . They unequivocally stated that this murder was in retaliation but never , whatsoever , mentioned the fact that the Israeli prime minister had already stated that the authorities knew that the youths family were in a feud with another Arab family where previous accusations of kidnapping had been made .
I have rung tv3 but am not expecting any apologies for their ignorance .
The TV standards process is a farce and is not worth following as they set the agenda . they state the perameters of the so called standards and will not look at anything they consider doesn't fit hence taking away our freedom to think for ourselves and argue our case .

Posts: 1562 6 young Israeli nationalists have been arrested for the murder of the Arab boy . This still does not excuse the biased reporting of our TV channels .
More can be seen on my world news postings under the Israel/Palestine forum including a lot of stuff they have missed out but shows the other side of the story .

Posts: 1562 Anyone who notices discrepencies in our news channels or advertising etc., please feel free to discuss on here . Also please point out good stuff that they do .

Posts: 1562 Tonight TV3 either insinuated , stated or seemed deliberately to exonerate Hamas for raining more rockets into Israel which have previously been destroying homes , factories and injuring children not to mention the phsycological effect on all the population , owing to the retaliation murder of an Arab youth . Is any murder an excuse to deliberately seek to harm whole neighbourhoods ?
18 rockets were fired on a southern Israeli town while the funeral for the 3 murdered Israeli teenagers was being held . Of course the whole course of action on both sides is dispicable but manipulating it is even more so .

Posts: 1562 Tonight sky tv put on a well balanced view of the situation in Israel and the Gaza strip . TV1 however started with saying in their coming up brief that hamas was sending rockets into Israel because of Israels attack on them .
The sky report showed that Israel was trying to stop the 100's of rockets already injuring and destroying and disrupting Israeli citizens peaceful existence . The rockets have been pouring in since before the three Israeli youths were captured and killed and Palestinians rejoiced on facebook and produced dispicable cartoons such as the three rats on a fishing line .

Posts: 1562 From 3news . (why do they always try and minimise the attacks on Israel . News from the source shows that hundreds of rockets are being fired causing destruction of houses and factories and injuring children causing incredible stress to all of the Israeli people .
I wish they could live in peace the same as everyone does and biased reporting usually based from Palestinian sources only exacerbates the situation giving them the encouragement and fortitude to commit further atrocities to placate their own bloodlust .
It has already been reported that Hamas are using pictures taken in Syria and Iraq and saying they are from Gaza .

'We have been instructed to hit Hamas hard'
By Hazel Ward

Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip have returned fire at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv after Israeli attacks killed 21 Palestinians on the first day of a major campaign.

It is the most serious flare-up over Gaza since November 2012 and comes with Israel struggling to contain a wave of violence over the grisly murder of a Palestinian teenager by Jewish extremists.

After a day in which Israel staged multiple air strikes on Gaza, leaving 17 people dead and more than 100 wounded, militants from the Islamist movement Hamas hit back on Tuesday with rocket fire on Israel's major population centres.

As sirens wailed across the Holy City, three loud explosions were heard and a series of flashes light the sky to the southwest.

A tweet from the Israeli military said "Confirmed: A rocket fired from Gaza hit Jerusalem, Israel's capital city."

"Until now, one hit has been identified in an open area near Ramat Raziel," police spokeswoman Luba Samri said, adding there were no reports of injuries of damage anywhere in the Jerusalem area.

The attack was claimed by the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, which said it had fired "four M75 rockets" at Jerusalem, which lies 65 kilometres from the Palestinian enclave.

It also claimed to have launched a rocket at Haifa, 165 kilometres away although there was no confirmation of anything hitting the northern port city.

Hamas also claimed firing four rockets at Tel Aviv, which lies 60 kilometres north of Gaza, with sirens wailing across the city.

Earlier, another rocket aimed at the coastal city was shot down by the Iron Dome anti-missile defence system.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas has demanded Israel "immediately stop" its air campaign and called on the international community to pressure the Jewish state.

But after nearly four weeks of intensifying rocket fire, Israel appeared bent on dealing the Islamist Hamas movement a heavy blow, with the cabinet authorising the call-up of some 40,000 reservists.

In the worst strike of the day, a missile slammed into a house in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis killing eight people and wounding 25, emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.

Witnesses said an Israeli drone fired a warning flare, prompting relatives and neighbours to gather at the house as a human shield.

But an F-16 warplane fired a missile that levelled the building.

Hamas denounced the attack as "a horrendous war crime" and said it would retaliate against "all Israelis".

Shortly after, troops killed four Hamas militants who reached the Israeli coast by sea and attacked an army base near Zikim, a military official said.

"A number of terrorists came out of the ocean and attacked ... with Kalashnikov rifles and hand grenades," said Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, who said they were all killed.

The attack was claimed by the Qassam Brigades.

Hamas militants also claimed to have fired 10 rockets at two army bases.

Several hours earlier, two people were killed in a strike east of Gaza City.

Two more people died in separate strikes, one of which hit a motorised rickshaw in the northern town of Beit Lahiya, while a second killed a 16-year-old boy in Gaza City.

Earlier, three people were killed in a strike on a car in central Gaza City. Relatives said all three were Hamas militants, with one identified as a senior figure responsible for the armed wing's naval unit.

Another man was killed in central Gaza, with witnesses saying he was also a Hamas militant.

Meanwhile, the military was preparing all options to stamp out rocket fire from Gaza, "including an invasion or a ground operation," a senior Israeli official said.

Military spokesman General Moti Almoz confirmed preparations for a possible ground offensive, telling army radio "we have been instructed by the political echelon to hit Hamas hard".

NZers urged to leave Gaza
New Zealand is expressing its concern at the escalation of violence in Gaza and Israel.

"New Zealand urges both sides to show restraint and to prevent any further civilian casualties," Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully said.

He is calling for an immediate end to rocket attacks into Israel and "proportionate responses" that don't further escalate the situation.

"It is critical that those responsible for these deplorable crimes are held to account," Mr McCully said.

"The current situation reinforces the urgent need for a sustainable resolution to the conflict between Israel and Palestine."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to advise against all travel to Gaza and New Zealanders already there are urged to leave as soon as it is safe to do so.

AFP/NZN ( Where is the mention of the grissly murderr of the 3 Israeli boys which was what started all this . Only mention of the Palestinian boy . What biased and trouble perpetuating reporting .)

The IDF Spokesman's Office posted videos on Sunday of Gazan rockets being fired from public civilian locations.

The first video shows several rockets being launched from a Gazan cemetery. In response to the video, the IDF said that Hamas continues to abuse public spaces in Gaza to launch rockets at Israel. "Hamas is responsible for all damage done to Gaza caused by return fire," the IDF Spokesman's Office wrote.

The second video shows three rockets being launched from the Abu Nur School in Gaza. The voices heard over the video say that it seemed that the rocket launchers were located inside the school itself. It is unclear whether or not the school is run by the United Nations.

On July 15, a cache of 20 rockets was discovered in a UN-run school, which was vacant at the time, during a routine inspection.

In the past, Israel has accused terrorists of putting weapons in schools, including United Nations Relief and Works Agency schools, which the organization has denied.

“This incident, which is the first of its kind in Gaza, endangered civilians, including staff, and put at risk UNRWA’s vital mission to assist and protect refugees in Gaza,” UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness said.

Following the UN's investigation, there were rumors in Israeli media that the weapons had been returned to Hamas, which Gunness denied. He said the rockets were taken away by bomb disposal experts who are answerable to the national unity government, which Hamas has left.

Israels friends rally around the world
Pro-Israel rallies were held in several cities around the world this week, with many ICEJ national branches taking part. On Wednesday, a delegation of Canadians living in or visiting Israel held a large gathering in Jerusalem to support the Jewish State. The crowd included several members of Canada's national parliament and Canadian ambassador to Israel Vivian Bercovici, who declared "Canadians have certainly demonstrated where they stand: Canada stands with Israel." On Thursday evening, a large demonstration including an estimated 4,500 people was held in front of the Israeli embassy in Paris to show support for Israel, with smaller demonstrations taking place in other French cities.
Egypt refuses to recognize Hamas officials
Cease-fire negotiations in Cairo were scheduled to begin on Thursday but the host government of Egypt refused to recognize representatives of the Islamist terror militia Hamas unless they were endorsed and accompanied by representatives from the Palestinian Authority. Additionally, Egypt is insisting that the only way it will agree to re-opening the Rafah border crossing into the Gaza Strip is if it is under the control of PA security forces, not Hamas. Hamas leaders have threatened Arab regimes that don't support them in their fight against Israel with violent overthrow by their own citizens, but so far the governments of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries have largely given Israel carte blanch to fight Hamas as it sees fit, while their citizens don't appear to be raising any objection.
Netanyahu urges maturity from his cabinet ministers

Journalists threatened by Hamas
Several journalists covering the current war from inside the Gaza Strip have emerged with tales of being threatened with violence if they reported on Hamas atrocities including using Palestinian civilians as human shields and firing rockets into Israel from civilians areas such as schools and hospitals. Additionally, hardly any pictures of Hamas fighters have appeared in the international press' reporting from inside Gaza, with the New York Times declaring that it simply can't find any Hamas terrorists to take pictures of. "It is inconceivable that there is zero visual footage of Hamas, as if they don't exist," commented Foreign Ministry spokesman Paul Hirschson. Several European, American and even Arab journalists have been expelled from Gaza by Hamas after posting reports which reflected badly on the terror militias currently making war on Israel.

NZTV is totally ignoring the murder of Jews in Israel which seems strange when they always give coverage to what happens to any non Jews .
The last few weeks has seen several random terrorist murder attacks in Jerusalem that have culminated in the brutal attack and murder of 4 rabbis and a policeman while the rabbis were praying in their church . TVNZ have said absolutely nothing about any of these deliberate acts of bloody , violent murder and to make it worse the palestinians and terrorists have been celebrating with parties in the street , handing sweets to kids and posting macabre jokes about it on their websites .
