Acts 27:21  ¶But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
22  And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
23  For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,
24  Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
25  Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
26  Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.
27  But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;
28  And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.
29  Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.
30  And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
31  Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
32  Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.

Psalms 119:1  ¶ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2  Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
3  They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4  ¶Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
5  O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6  Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7  ¶I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
8  I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

Acts 27:33  And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.
34  Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.
35  And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.
36  Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.
37  And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.
38  And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
39  And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.
40  And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
41  And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
42  And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.
43  But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:
44  And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

Psalms 119:9  ¶BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10  ¶With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11  ¶Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12  ¶Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13  ¶With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14  I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15  I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16  I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Acts 28:1  ¶And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
2  And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
3  And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4  And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5  And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
6  Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
7  In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
8  And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
9  So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
10  Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

Psalms 119:17  ¶GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
18  ¶Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19  ¶I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20  ¶My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.
21  ¶Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
22  ¶Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
23  ¶Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24  ¶Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.
25  ¶DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.
26  ¶I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
27  Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
28  ¶My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
29  Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

23  ¶And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
24  And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
25  And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
26  Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27  For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28  Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
29  And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
30  ¶And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,

Psalms 119:30  ¶I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
31  I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
32  I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33  ¶HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34  Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35  ¶Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36  Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37  ¶Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
38  ¶Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
39  ¶Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.
40  ¶Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

Romans 1:1  ¶Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2  (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3  Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4  And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
6  Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7  To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8  ¶First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
10  Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
11  For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
12  That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
13  Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
14  I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
15  So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

Psalms 119:41  ¶VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
42  So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43  ¶And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44  So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45  ¶And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
46  I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47  And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48  My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Romans 1:16  ¶For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19  ¶Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Psalms 119:49  ¶ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50  ¶This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
51  ¶The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.
52  ¶I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.
53  ¶Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54  ¶Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55  ¶I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56  This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
57  ¶CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
58  ¶I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

Romans 1:26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Romans 2:1  ¶Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2  But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
