[/i](Gen 41:39 KJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

(Gen 41:40 KJV) Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

(Gen 41:41 KJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

(Gen 41:42 KJV) And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

(Gen 41:43 KJV) And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

(Gen 41:44 KJV) And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

(Gen 41:46 KJV) And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

Joseph then brings "all" the Israelite's out of Palestine and brings them to Egypt where they live for over 400 years leaving everything behind.

Note: the place they left was not called "Israel" but Palestine.

STRANGER—The term “stranger” is mentioned 123 times in the
Holy Bible

(Deu 10:19 KJV) Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in
the land of Egypt.

(Deu 24:19 KJV) When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a
sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the
stranger,
for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the
work of thine hands.

(Deu 24:20 KJV) When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs
again: it shall be for the
stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

(Deu 24:21 KJV) When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean
it afterward: it shall be for the
stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

(Jer 22:3 KJV) Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and
deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to
the
stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this
place.

(Zec 7:10 KJV) And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor
the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

(Exo 22:21 KJV) Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him:
for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Exo 23:9 KJV) Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the
heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Lev 19:34 KJV) But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto
you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

(Lev 25:35 KJV) And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee;
then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a
stranger, or a sojourner;
that he may live with thee.

(Deu 10:19 KJV) Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt.

Genesis 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Iacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God, and with men, and hast preuailed.

THEY WERE CHOSEN

(Deu 7:6 KJV) For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

(Deu 7:7 KJV) The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

(Deu 7:9 KJV) Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

((Deu 7:11 KJV) Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

(Deu 7:13 KJV) And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

They were chosen to show us the way, to show us how to treat the stranger, how to be compassionate and loving to your neighbor and by doing so peace would envelope the world by their example.

In kindergarten my mother gave me a bible & I still have it today. It is the KJV with the "Old" and "New" bound together.

I was in my 50's when I started reading the Old.

Jesus knew the Old from cover to cover in his twenties.

Gaza reconstruction plan ‘risks putting UN in charge of Israeli blockade

Critics say Israel’s insistence on strict controls of basic supplies and veto of specific projects will undermine $8bn programme

There is one thing in common between all faiths, they all have the Ten Commandments as part of their doctrine in one form or another

Ten Commandments
[1] Thou shall have no other god before Me;
[2] Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in haven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
[3] Thou shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve the; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the inequity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments;
[4] Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name invain.
[5] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
[6] Honor thy father and thy mother;
[7] Thou shalt not kill
[8] Thou shalt not steal
[9] Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
[10] Thou shall not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s

correction

I like avocado's. A nursery across the street sold me a few pots with soil. I pushed the seeds about half way down into the soil. Over time both seeds cracked open. After a couple of weeks one plant emerged out of one of the cracks. The other seed never did anything.

Later I gave the growing avocado plant to the nursery and they just laughed & said we will all be eating avocado's soon.

Quote went wron , sorry . Just replying to your post about the Avocados , Tom .

Sorry to let you into the secret Tom but Avocado trees grown from seed will not produce fruit . They have to have a piece grafted from a fruiting tree .

I jumped off of a second floor balcony and just got a few cracked ankle bones. I then fell down a flight of steel stairs and wound up with my ring finger bent 90 degrees. I straightened it out and life goes on.

I wish you and yours the best now and into the future and beyond

..According to a 2002 study by the Jewish Agency, "the number of Jews in the world is declining at an average of 50,000 per year."
